Fishing is life. That’s what it boils down too. It has been that way as far back as I can remember and will continue to be that way. As a freelance writer if I’m not fishing I’m writing about it and have done so for magazines like Outdoor Canada, Salmon Trout Steelheader, Great Lakes Angler and reel fishing magazine.
If I had to pick a preferred species steelhead would take the prize hands down, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t pursue everything that swims. If I can catch it with a rod and reel I will and if I can help others do the same, even better. I’ve reached a point in my fishing career (and I use that term loosely) where seeing others have success on the water is just as satisfying as my own success.
The idea behind this blog is simply to share some of my experience, tell some stories, and hopefully make some of my successes yours.
